East Village

Looking for a unique and culture-rich area to live is not easy, but a neighborhood to consider in that regard is East Village. The neighborhood is located between 14th street, Houston Street, FDR Drive, 4th avenue (which is overlapped by Cooper Union then Bowery).

This neighborhood has routinely been characterized for its free-spirit ideology and counterculture movement that began in the area. To this day, East Village still has retained an artistic culture and active nightlife that has new residents flocking to scoop up the available real estate on the market.

The East Village is made up of several smaller neighborhoods, each one having its own identity. These include both Alphabet City and Bowery. The New York Times described Alphabet City as “downtown cool,” noting the change that has occurred in the neighborhood in most recent years.

Bowery is home to the notorious Bowery Hotel and the hip Japanese chain Gyu Kaku. It is currently transforming from the gritty punk culture to a more upscale residential neighborhood. If you are interested in moving to the East Village, contact the Mdrn. team today.
